Established in 1984 and headquartered in Baoding, China, the company originally operated under the name Baoding Great Wall Motor Company Limited, changing to its current designation in May 2003. Great Wall Motor Company Limited functions as a subsidiary of Baoding Innovation Great Wall Asset Management Company Limited.
