Under its Advanced Materials segment, the company manufactures specialized steel products and high-grade chloride. Furthermore, CITIC invests in and manages operations spanning coal and bauxite mining, global commodity trading (import and export), the production of electrolytic aluminum and alumina smelting, and the ownership and operation of power generation facilities. The New Consumption segment encompasses a broad range of consumer-facing businesses. This includes providing telecommunications services and the leasing and sale of satellite transponders. It also operates in the publishing industry, releasing both traditional and digital books, alongside managing retail bookstores. Moreover, CITIC supports automotive brands through distribution and associated services, and spearheads advancements in agricultural science and technology. Its activities extend further into brand development, manufacturing, commodity trading, agency distribution, logistics, and retail operations across diverse sectors such as food and fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare, and electrical products.
